Our ATEX / UKEX straddle stacker is easy to use, simply connect an airline to enable the lift and lower functions. Our engineers install stackers with emergency stop buttons and blocking valves to ensure operators are kept safe at all times. If for any reason the airline is disconnected your load will remain stationary and will not lower until an airline is reconnected and the lower lever is operated.

ATEX / UKEX-certified for gas and dust zones 1 and 2
ATEX / UKEX-certified for gas and dust zones 1 and 2
At STS we pride ourselves on our range of equipment for ATEX areas. We can provide ATEX / UKEX-certified straddle stackers for a variety of different applications. Each of our ATEX pallet movers is designed to ensure electrical continuity, a path to ground is always present.
This model is suitable for gas and dust areas: Zone 1 and 2. Each straddle stacker is supplied with a manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity which demonstrates compliance with the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.
Stainless steel clad forks
Stainless steel clad forks
Our experienced fabricators clad our forks in 304-grade stainless steel, this eliminates any thermic-strike risk during operation. STS stainless steel fork cladding is strong and robust. The forks can be adjusted in width to handle different sized pallets and IBCs.
Hot-rolled lifting channels
Hot-rolled lifting channels
Manufactured out of high-quality steel our hot-rolled channels keep the unit completely stable during use. Each ATEX straddle stacker is rigorously checked and tested to ensure we deliver a safe and secure lifter capable of thousands of hours of use. Each pallet mover is supplied with a load test certificate and EU Declaration of Conformity.
Controllable rear-wheel steering
Controllable rear-wheel steering
To ensure the unit is easy to move around we design all our pallet movers with Ackermann rear-wheel steering which provides operators with maximum control when lifting and moving heavy loads. Our ATEX straddle stackers utilise 180mm front and 160mm rear wheels all with precision bearings as standard. Rear adjustable park brakes keep the unit stationary when not in use.
ATEX Wireless Load Cells
ATEX Wireless Load Cells
Our ATEX straddle stacker can be fitted with a wireless weigh scale system. Operators can record and document the weight of material before and after decanting, this is especially useful for companies that lift and empty IBC containers into their process.
The ATEX wireless load cell system utilises 2.4GHz radio. The telemetry transmitter module sends information to a handheld display which allows monitoring of the amount of material being decanted. The unit has an accuracy of +/- 1.25kg and a safe working load of 1300kg.

Electric-hydraulic lift
For non-ATEX applications we adapt an STP07 (pneumatic unit) into an STE07 (electric unit). On-board batteries then power the hydraulic lift function.Power-drive system
When moving goods over long distances we suggest adding power drive. Our power-drive tiller steering offers effortless control, with battery and pneumatic options.Variable leg dimensions
When machinery integration is critical we will modify leg dimensions to suit your facility.Sale or return
In the UK we can supply certain equipment on a sale-or-return basis, meaning you can use a unit on-site for seven days with no obligation to buy it once the trial period is up. Find out more here.
