Industrial drums come in many different shapes and sizes. It is important that drum lifting equipment can handle all the common drums found in the workplace. Laser-cut from stainless steel, our universal drum catch allows you to connect the lifter to drums of different types, sizes, and materials. For a breakdown of the drums that are compatible with this catch, view the drum suitability document below.
Key product features
Vertical height adjustment
Vertical height adjustment
Drums can vary in height depending on their size. This means it is important to choose a drum lifter that can accept not only the drums you use today but also the drums you may need to handle in the future. With our unique vertical quick-change rack, you can adjust the position of the drum catch to accommodate drums of different heights. In a matter of seconds move the catch down for shorter drums and up for taller drums.
Drum suitability
Drum suitability
As with our other drum lifters, you can use this model with a wide variety of drum types and sizes, which is useful if you handle different types of drums daily. For details about the drums with which this product is compatible, please see the drum suitability document below. If the drums you use aren’t in the specification, contact us and we can offer advice and guidance.
ATEX for flammable areas (optional)
ATEX for flammable areas (optional)
We provide fully certified 'Ex' rated drum handlers for use in flammable and explosive areas. These models utilise anti-static and conductive components where required to ensure conformity and safety.
Our ATEX Counterbalance Drum Lifter is suitable for use in classified zones 1, 2, 21, and 22. The units are manufactured to ensure electrical continuity throughout the lifter, eliminating risks and ensuring operator safety. All our ATEX drum lifters are supplied with a Declaration of Conformity that demonstrates compliance with the relevant directives and standards.
Weigh scale display (optional)
Weigh scale display (optional)
Where drum weights are important for your operations, we have a solution available. Our integrated weighing system offers a weighing accuracy of +/- 0.1kg. Weighing drums at the same time as lifting them reduces the need to transport and load the drums onto separate scales; this reduces transportation times and therefore improves efficiency within a department.
Some customers will lift empty drums and then subsequently add products to the drum until they reach the desired weight. Another potential benefit would be alerting operators to drums that are over- or under-filled with the product they contain. Highlighting discrepancies in weight at an early stage is always going to be preferred to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Stainless steel (optional)
Stainless steel (optional)
Clean manufacturing facilities often prefer stainless-steel drum lifters. We can offer our Counterbalanced Drum Lifter manufactured from 304-grade stainless steel. The fabricated parts are vibro-polished to ensure they are smooth and easy to clean. The finish is highly corrosion-resistant and eliminates the need for any painted coatings. This is a particular benefit in food and pharmaceutical environments where contamination must be avoided at all costs.
