In the same way that we need to handle different drum styles, we are also faced with different drum sizes in the workplace. It is therefore important that your drum handling equipment can handle both tall and short drums. With our drum lifter models you can move the drum catch to different levels to cater to a variety of drum heights; position the catch lower for shorter drums and higher for taller ones.

Our side-shift function is unique: fourteen precision bearings allow you to smoothly slide the central lifter left and right making accessing the whole pallet simple and easy. Once the central lifter is locked in place, you can move the drum handler over the pallet to pick up the drum. When lowering a drum to the floor, the side-shift function provides precise control and helps to reduce placement gaps between drums.

Within certain industries, explosive atmospheres exist. We provide fully certified 'Ex' rated drum movers for use in these hazardous environments. Our ATEX Side-Shift Barrel Mover is suitable for zones 1, 2, 21, and 22. The ATEX model is manufactured to ensure electrical continuity throughout the lifter with a path to 'ground' always being present. We supply all our units with a manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity which shows compliance with the relevant directives and standards.

When the weight of your drums and their contents is important for your manufacturing operations, we have a built-in solution available that measures the drum weight with an accuracy of +/- 0.1kg. Weighing drums with an STS lifter avoids the need to transport and place drums onto separate floor scales, thus reducing the time and effort required to complete the task.
The battery-powered scales are rechargeable and include features such as 'zero' and 'tare'. The system can be utilised for verifying labeled drum weights and ensuring that there are no material shortages in production. When combining materials into batches, a drum lifter with weigh scales can be used to hold the primary container and keep track of how much has been added to the drum over time.

Stainless steel drum lifters are well-suited to clean manufacturing areas found in food and pharmaceutical areas among others. This DTP04 model can be upgraded to a 304-grade stainless-steel construction if needed. The welded parts are vibro-polished providing a smooth clean finish that is easy to keep clean. The hydraulic lifting ram is nickel and chrome coated to ensure enhanced corrosion protection and pump assembly is shrouded in a stainless-steel protective enclosure.

If you need to handle a large quantity of drums each day, you may want to consider our electric lift upgrade. The battery-powered system allows operators to move more drums per hour by eliminating the need to pump the manual lift handle. The push-button lift controls are simple and easy to use and enhance productivity. The onboard batteries have plenty of power, allowing hundreds of drum movements before a recharge is required. When the time comes to charge the unit simply connect the mains-powered battery charger to the lifter.
