Stainless Steel Drum Handler (Counterbalance)

Manufactured from 304-grade stainless steel the automatic drum catch allows operators to connect the drum handler to a wide range of different drum types. The gripper handles steel and plastic 100- to 220-litre drums with weights ranging from 50 to 350kg; the drum must have some weight in it to force the gripper to close (won't grip empty drums).

The operator drives the unit towards the drum until the gripper makes contact, they then raise the catch-up and it automatically clamps the top lip of the drum while simultaneously lifting the drum.

Counterbalance-style drum lifters are one of the most popular styles in the industry; with no legs in front of the lifter, drums can be placed without difficulty on a range of different platforms including pallets, bunds, conveyors, machines and dollies. 

Our stainless steel counterbalance drum handler can be specified for different drum weights; for example, if you handle very heavy 400kg drums we can supply a suitable unit with sufficient counterweight. All units we design are in conformance with relevant British Standards for stability to ensure only the safest equipment is supplied to our customers.
