The legs of this model have been designed to allow drums to be lifted from either the floor or from Euro pallets. The unit is fitted with 800mm straddle legs that go around the narrow end of a Euro pallet. If you require a unit with legs that go beneath a Euro pallet please get in touch and we can offer a custom unit.

Our stainless steel universal drum gripping mechanism easily adjusts to connect to a wide range of drum types, sizes, and materials. The top hook on the catch can be adjusted forward and backward to adapt to drums with different lip designs. Stainless-steel ladder rack
Stainless-steel ladder rack
Operators can easily adjust the position of the catch up and down the ladder rack to accommodate drums of different heights. The ladder rack is manufactured from 304-grade stainless steel. The ladder rack allows drums from 420mm to 1000mm in height to be lifted. For a detailed breakdown of the drums that are compatible with this product, please see the specification document below.
Manual hydraulic pump
Manual hydraulic pump
All our manual-lift units are fitted with UK-made high-quality hand pumps. We ensure that every hydraulic system is both reliable and free of defects. The hand pump is easy to operate; operators simply pump the handle up and down to raise the load and then turn a hand-operated valve to lower drums back down to the ground or onto a Euro pallet. Our team of assembly engineers tests and inspects every hand pump to ensure zero defects.
Drum suitability
Drum suitability
The manual-hydraulic drum lifter can handle a wide variety of drum types and sizes including plastic MAUSER drums and fibreboard drums. This is especially useful if your firm handles many different types of drums on a daily or weekly basis. For an in-depth breakdown of the drums with which this unit is compatible, please see the document below. If the barrels you use are not shown in the document, please contact us and we will be happy to advise you.
ATEX / UKEX-certified for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 (optional)
ATEX / UKEX-certified for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 (optional)
Within certain factories explosive or potentially explosive atmospheres exist, creating a requirement for explosion-proof equipment. These hazardous areas are classified as ATEX, UKEX or Zoned. STS provides fully-certified 'Ex' rated drum handlers for use in these areas.
Our DTP03-R500-LC-Ex model is suitable for use in gas and dust classified spaces: Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22. The drum handler is manufactured to ensure electrical continuity, and a path to ground is always present. We supply our ATEX / UKEX units with a manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity which demonstrates compliance with the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.
